Goat Tote cares about our planet.
Our credo is to operate sustainably and ethically at every level at all times.
Where possible, we source and utilize vintage, reclaimed, and recycled fabrics, clothing, and homewares to be repurposed in the manufacture of our Totes, Pouches, and Purses.
We use vintage and discarded clothing, furnishing fabrics and denim apparel to re-purpose into beautiful, useful products. We launder, sanitize all secondhand fabrics prior to either rejuvenating and or embellishment, thus breathing new life into unwanted goods and reducing fast fashion waste to landfill.
When available, we use recycled sewing threads in the manufacture of our Totes and pouches. All fabric scraps and offcuts are saved for later use in small projects, including appliqué, patchwork, apparel, and miscellaneous homewares.
We believe that careful planning is integral to sustainable design. Work begins with a detailed review of raw materials, including fabric condition, wear and damages. Sketches are formed before cutting and deconstruction of materials begins. Fully conceptualizing and refining each design beforehand helps us to reduce material waste. We strive to work collaboratively at every stage. Our team efforts minimize energy usage in the studio.
